FROM STYLING TO STARTING UP
Bombay Maximalist was built on the idea that occasion wear didn’t have to feel heavy, predictable, or worn just once. It could be expressive, effortless, and still rooted in everything we love about Indian craftsmanship.
We take traditional textiles, techniques, and details and rework them into silhouettes that feel lighter, sharper, and more wearable. Statement jackets, sculpted blouses, and fluid drapes designed to move with you, not against you. Pieces that stand out, without trying too hard.
Versatility sits at the core. Every set is designed to be worn together or apart styled your way, across moods and moments.
Because we don’t believe in saving outfits.
We believe in wearing them, fully.
Bombay Maximalist was built for women who don’t like to shrink themselves to fit a room. It’s about taking up space, thinking beyond the obvious, and showing up exactly as you are unapologetically.
The Founder’s Journey
“Fashion has always been a part of my life not in a structured way, but in the way I’ve always experienced it.
Working as a stylist gave me a front-row seat to some of the biggest moments in fashion and celebrity culture from shoots to weddings, working around names like Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Jacqueline Fernandez and more. Being around that world taught me so much about clothing, detail, construction, and most importantly, how fashion can completely transform the way someone feels.
Somewhere along the way, creating just became a part of that process. It started with styling, with putting looks together for shoots, and before I knew it, I was designing pieces without even realising it. One thing led to another, and I found myself making clothes for the people around me again and again.
That’s when I realised how much I loved it. “
"At the same time, I kept noticing a gap. The price points didn’t make sense, and neither did the way clothes were designed to be worn just once. So many pieces felt heavy, impractical, and disconnected from how we actually want to dress today things you wear once and then they just sit in your wardrobe.
Bombay Maximalist is my response to that.
From years of working closely with fashion, and wanting something that feels more current, more wearable, and more versatile.
This is my way of creating pieces that feel like an extension of you confident, expressive, and entirely your own."
